The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra represents a pivotal initiative established for the construction and management of the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, under the auspices of the Government of India. This trust comprises 15 trustees and was constituted following a landmark verdict delivered by the Supreme Court of India.

On February 5, 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the establishment of the trust during a session of the Lok Sabha. In compliance with the Supreme Court’s ruling, the trust is endowed with 2.77 acres of previously disputed land, in addition to 67.703 acres acquired under the Acquisition of Certain Areas at Ayodhya Act of 1993. Currently, Mahant Nrityagopal Das serves as the head of the trust, with former Solicitor General of India, K. Parasaran—who notably represented Shri Ram Lalla Virajmaan before the Supreme Court—also among its members. It is worth noting that Parasaran initially led the trust during its formation phase.
